The myth of Undine is always told in a similar way: Undine, the mermaid, the nymph, the water creature falls in love with a human man. But because the strange water woman always remains scary to the man, because the human is not reliable, because he insults, betrays, cheats or leaves Undine, the story has to end badly: either Undine dies or the human man - sometimes even both.

Undine is always many things at the same time: an allegory for the alienation between the sexes, a symbol for an impossible love and an outdated ideal image of the loving and domesticated woman.

But what happens when the otherwise speechless water woman raises her voice?
